Step down motor

I have a 45kW electric motor running at 1500rpm producing around 287Nm of torque that needs to be coupled to stepped down gearing to around 62rpm. This arrangement is 1 part of 62 plate roller set up to move 37ton 10m long steel billets. I am estimating that each roller must be able to produce around 8200Nm of torque to be able to move the billet. Would the output torque required be achieved and what would be the gearing ratio.

Isn't the gearing ratio equal to 1500 / 62, i.e. 24.2?

8200Nm@62RPM is 53.2kW. paulliu is right about the gear ratio to get the proper speed but it will only yield 6930Nm. And this doesn't include the efficiency of a 2 stage gear box that you'll need to use to get there which could be as low as 80%. Sounds like you should get a good machine design book and look up the fundamental law of gearing.
