Hi all,
When I import a step file of a mold assembly, some unexpected untrimmed sheet appears in the model. They are not supposed to be in the original mold assembly. Anyone knows how to fix this problem?
Thank you.

Hi,
I have seen this issue some times. You will get some untrimmed sheets after the import.Mainly primitives like cone, sphere and torus in some cases. We usually deleted those but i always suspected these originated due to some translation of sweep features or may be some aesthetic blends.
Sorry i donot have anything concrete to help your case.
Best Regards
Kapil

In the log file, I find the following warning or error.
1. solid body contains fault: 13803 - RTSTMG: Missing Geometry.
! INFO- Could not create solid body because of topology creation, geometry
! INFO- creation, or failure to attach geometry to topology. Will attempt
! INFO- to convert as many solid body faces to individual single-faced sheet
! INFO- bodies as possible.
2. SHEET_BODY geometry failure. Unable to create trimmed sheet body. Error code : 914

3.SHEET BODY geometry problem. Error code : 13805
! INFO-
! ERROR- SHEET_BODY geometry failure. Unable to create SP CURVE FROM 3D CURVE. Error code : 914
I have no idea how to fix this problem. This errors all for one part file which has trimming or bolean operation.
Thank you

I remove the parameters, make this part a dummy body and then export it as step file. When I import this step file back, the untrim sheet body are still there

Could be there are some geometry errors in the NX file. You should open the suspect NX part file and run "examine geometry". It should pass all of the body checks.
