Dear Engineers,
I'm new to strand7.
Can we Link Strand7 API with Excel Spreadsheets? If yes what's the steps to do so?.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can, I have blog posts on it at:
and

but:
The code in my download spreadsheet in the 2nd link is for Rel 2.6 and won't work with the latest version (Rel 3).
The Strand7 API download for the latest version includes Excel VBA code for 64 bit Excel, but doesn't have a 32 bit version.

If you have 64 bit Excel and Strand7 Rel 3 (or 32 bit Excel and you are still using Rel 2.6) I suggest having a look at their example spreadsheet.

If you use Strand7 regularly it's certainly worth the effort to get the API working, but it's not a trivial task.

If you have any specific questions feel free to ask here.

Ryan - I see you also asked here about linking Python to Strand7. I also do that, using pyxll to link Excel to the API Python code without VBA. If you are more familiar with Python than VBA you may prefer that route. Pyxll is a commercial (but low cost) package, or Xlwings is a free alternative.
