SW09 Materials DB into SW08?

Hello all,
Is a custom materials database from SW09 compatible with SW08? I tried to add it and when I go to select the new db file it says "access is denied"??? Suggestions welcome.

Update - The file was "read only". After I unchecked that, it now says that it is not compatible because of being a newer version. Anyway to make it compatible aside from buying 09?

It should work. It may be that you are using Photoworks appearances from 2009 that don't exist/work in 2008.
