Tailings dam failure in Brazil October 2019

15 m tall gold tailings dam failed and the outflow went 2km. Looking at the video it appears that the perimeter dam slumped and only part of the contained tailings overtopped. It doesn't appear to have fully eroded the perimeter dam shell which would have caused a larger loss of material containment.
