Hi,
I am loking for an ASTM spec (or other standard spec) that has detail dimensions for a tamper proof (or tamper resistant) screw. I am interesting in the slotted screw type. Please advise. Thanks

A double pin drive is sufficiently rare as to discourage tampering. A quad pin drive is even more discouraging. Then there is the slotted ramp; conventional drive to tighten and a ramp to thwart loosening.

Thanks plasgear & Eltron.
Eltron. I did check & they don't have it.
I mainly want to see the detail dimension (or 3D model) of the round head of the one way drive screw (tamper-resistant screw).

I want to model (3D CAD) a one way drive screw but I can not find any information (dimensions spec) to begin. Can anyone help?
I have been thru many websites but there is no luck.
Thanks,

Just model a slotted head screw and takeoff the reverse driving flanks of the slot by blending from the center out. You want the blended area to push the driver outwards if you try to reverse drive the screw.

Search on Thomas net as a lot of suppliers have 3D models available.

Thanks unclesyd & Metalfixer. I just want to do it right (by spec) so that it can be removed by the removed tool.

Here is a one way slotted screw mentioned in my post.

Different types of slotted one-way screws.

Here are numerous types of tamper-proof fasteners readily available.

uptick...finding a drawing of a one-way screw is going to be difficult. Most of the info on the internet is from suppliers and I didn't see any detailed drawings. You might just have to get a couple of screws and do a detailed measurement and drawing exercise!

Hi Ron,
McMaster-Carr has both 3D models and technical drawings for many tamper proof screws.

Do a search on "sex" screw - not kidding and don't why they call them that. But they are commonly used in public bathrooms to hold the stalls together...

Metalfixer...excellent! Hopefully the OP will see that get his info. Thanks.

Thanks all.
Mikethe Engineer: I did check the co restroom before posting this. Thanks
unclesyd: I had been thru those webpages before posting. Thanks
Metalfixer: Good! I can start from there. Thanks.
