Hello.
I would like to ask if there is a specific formula for calculating the internal stress of thick wall pipe subjected to shear in a plane perpendicular to the axis of the pipe.
Bellow you have attached the situation which I am trying to solve. The thick wall pipe is subjected to shear via the double link and the single link.My problem is that I need to find out some secondary effect like the circumferential distortion (ovalisation) and what is it's magnitude.
I am trying to get it solved in Ansys but I am getting trouble defining the contacts and constraints. Can someone help me out?
Thank you.
