HI EVERYBODY.
I would appreciate some help (technical info) on demisters (or mist eliminators) and their internal attachments to pressure vessels (standard drawings).
Thank you in advance.

Are you talking about the demisters for boiler steam drums?

Mesh type and flexi-cheron typeshave one ring or two rings, depending on design.

One ring can ussually tilt the mesh type demister panel in and pull down and wire or j bolt to ring. Large diameters have a center support as well. Securely fasten to ring or center support so upflow will not push the demister up.

Two ring support for flexi chevron and some mesh types needs a drop out door to install the demister. and again large diameters use center support.

small diameters in a sleeve in horisontal vessels have a removable ring, mounted on angles.

vane type mist eliminators a mounted in an elaborate housing that is too much to explain here.

Regarding technical information regarding design and performance or how 'effective' of the demisters are we typically send to the fabricator (like Koch in the link doct9960 gave you) our steam drum arrangement drawings plus steam conditions including flow capacity, max allowed overall pressure drop and cleanness requirements then the fabricator is responsible to calculate, select and design the dimensions of pads according to the available spaces also guarantee the results.

The fabricator has some instructions just like vesselfab says above. Detailed attachment is all by your own design. It is just for retaining the demister in place with loads from steam/gas flow considered. Besides, need to leave no gap and no gas short cut so that the demister can work properly.
