Jul 16, 2007 #5 csd72 Structural May 4, 2006 4,574 SHBH, yes, it is the large vertical force in the centre of the beam, the brace no longer acts as a K-brace(where the 2 vertical components cancel each other out) and will be a very innefficient way of bracing. csd Upvote 0 Downvote
