My company recently upgraded to TC8 and NX 8, along with windows 7. When I export an assembly out of TC and try to open up in native UG I get a list of parts that will not open because "The same title cannot be used on two different attributes". Is there a setting I need to change?

NX8.0.0.25
TC8.3.2.2(20110823.00)
Windows 7 SP1

I think you will need to contact GTAC on this one as this is something that should have have happened. Not the part about not being able have two attributes with the same title, but ending up with two attributes with the same title should never have happened in the first place. I suspect that it's more of a TC issue than an NX one so my advice is to call GTAC and have them look at what you've done and what the results were that you got.

Mr. Baker:

I think the wording isn't the best and that is causing your misunderstanding of the problem.

The problem is that two attributes are filled out with the same information. I have attached a screen shot of one of the problem parts. Please note that the part number and part description are the same value (but different attributes).

NX doesn't care about the values of those two particular Attributes, but I suspect the TC might. This only reinforces my thoughts that you will need to take this up with GTAC so that they can look at your TC set-up.

Mr. Baker:

Thanks for the clarification. I just wanted to make sure you understood what I thought he problem was. I will have the administrator get in contact with GTAC.
