I'm trying to create a thin solid from a multisections surface. I'm using the pad tool thick but I can't figure out how to define the direction of extrusion. Is there something other than the pad tool I can use to give the multisections surface thickness?

Thanks.

The only problem is my dress-features tool bar is dimmed (greyed out). How do I turn it on?

Thanks.

I figured it out. I was looking at the wrong set of tools. I was looking at dress-up features instead of surface-based solids.

actually there are 2 toolbars.
one is purple, and I have no idea what its for, and the other is the partdesign toolbar, which is the one you need.

just make sure you clean up the surfaces before making the solid. heal slivers and stitch surfaces.
