In the western Mojave Desert north of Los Angeles, the world’s largest and highest-capacity solar farm is setting a new precedent for the way solar energy is collected and used.

Japan showed the fallacy of solar farms on agricultural land. They have difficulty producing enough food for the population, so they are having to remove large scale solar arrays.
 
I can't park a boat for an extended period because its shadow kills the grass... in an area that gets dredged.

Bingo. None of this has anything to do with saving man kind. This is crony capitalism. These policies only exist to funnel taxpayer money into the hands of politically connected individuals.
 
IEA says anthropogenic CO2 up by 1.1% last year. Why are we spending trillions on this? Without the spending on renewables it would have been 1.2%
