thread577-265888
Hello all,
Am requesting some help on this one.
I am revisiting this problem.
I need to know the steps to add a new part
to old part? Not familiar with step by step. The new part is not connected to a drawing,
but the old part is.

Thanks,

One popular method is:
- Bring existing part to the Workbench
- Bring new part to the WB
- Boolean Add the New to the Existing.
- You'll now have a part with 2 "branches" in the history
- Delete the branch that was the original
You should now be left with the Existing part but with the new geometry.
Update the drawing.
It will totally update so you might need to reattach some dimensions.
The above is for when replacing new 3D completely (e.g. reading new 3D from IGES or such).
If this is just a new TDM version of the same part, none of the above should need needed.

Hope that helps!
