Hi all,
Does anyone know how to use the 'from file' function when defining a time history function?
I have performed a modal analysis on a tall building with a core and outriggers (to get fundamental modes) so my next step is to perform a time history analysis. I am interested in wind-induced acceleration on my building model over time as I am investigating its effect on occupant comfort (comparing analysis results to existing codes/guidelines).
I would like to apply loading to the top of the structure (to get the worst response) but I'm not sure how to approach the time history function on SAP2000/Etabs
Any help would be much appreciated!
