How can I insert my companies title block in to catia so it is selectable in the frame creation menu?

Im thinking the title block has to be made in a script.

Catia Titleblocks are created using Visual Basic Script files.

Catia includes a VB editor. You can find it under tools, macros, VB editor (I think... someone please correct me If I am wrong).

The VB script that ships nativly with Catia is very complex (in my opinion). I found that its just easyer to open my companies title block as a Catdrawing and Copy and paste it every time, rather then build an automated VB script for it.

Abaddon..

I agree with you that's it's easier to just copy the titleblock (unless you have a good System Admin). Have you tried the INSERT BACKGROUND VIEW option in FILE+PAGE SETUP?

The problem with INSERT BACKGROUND VIEW is that it puts everything in the background, including the drawing number and title. This means that the user either needs to edit the background to change them (something some companies don't allow), or to create the standard title-block text manually.

Using a macro lets you put the standard, uneditable text in the background, and the basic editable text in the foreground, where the user only needs to double click on it to change it.

It's a pretty simple macro to create/edit. There are several generic ones available, including one that DS provides with the install.
