Total phosphor increasing value in discharge waste water

Hi everybody,
I have a problem in our waste water treatment plant. The amount of total phosphor has increased above regulation data last two weeks in discharge waste water.
Does anybody know the reason of increaasing comes from ?

It would help to have some information on your application. Are you an industrial or municipal facility? What is the size of the facility?

The phosphorus is probably associated with the use of a cleaning chemical.

bimr's right, many industrial cleaning compounds contain trisodium phosphate, tripoly phoshate or tetrasodiumpyrophosphate. These are used to sequester dirt in aqueous solutions. Find the cleaner that someone is dumping behind your back and you'll probably correct the problem. You can also switch to non-phosphate cleaners. These use EDTA to keep the dirt in solution.
