Have a look here: thread561-170905

Basically you have to go into a command that uses the tracking bar (eg basic curves) and then go into your preferences and hit 'reset window position'. That should do it, if not - let us know.

I have NO problems with the 'Tracking Bar' NOT showing when I edit a Line or Arc created using the old 'Basic Curves' dialog. Perhaps you have somehow 'lost' it off the screen somewhere and should follow the advice 'cowski' offered.

To an Engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

If you have used NX on laptop with another screen, it's very easy to place the tracking bar on the other screen. Then if you turn off the second screen, the tracking bar remain on it !!!!
So you can imagine the solution to have the tracking bar comme back.
I hope this help

That's exactly the situation cowski has provided the recommended solution for...

Preferences -> User Interface -> Layout

...go to the Settings section and select the 'Reset Window Position' icon (option button).

The trick is: you have to be in a command that uses the tracking bar (eg basic curves) when you hit the 'reset layout' button; otherwise the tracking bar doesn't come back.
