Is there any reason why it wont work for me? Im in an assembly, I right click on an object and press "change transparency", and it doesnt do anything.

Anything I should check to see why its not working?

If you are editing in context at the time double check your settings under Tools-->Options-->Display/Selection-->Assembly transparency for in-context editing.

I tried all those things and it still doesnt work.

No matter which object I try to make transparent, it doesnt work. Any other suggestions?

Can you apply appearances?
Can you apply the transparency via the Appearances manager?
Does the Display Plane flyout allow change?
Do the Hide and Suppress functions work?
Have you rebooted?
Have you re-installed the approved graphics driver?

Try 2 more things.

- Toggle global wire frame and shaded mode
- Toggle wire frame frame and shaded mode from the FMT fly-out.

Now try, transparency.

Thanks..

Yea, I did all that, still doesnt work.

Everything seems to work fine except for Transparency.

Yea, I actually had our company get a new graphics card and its been working great until now. And Ive never had problems making an object transparent before, even with this same graphics card.

Some times, just reordering the features in part or Parts in assemblies with work. I dont know the reason, but I have noticed this in the past.
