Strange why only this drawoff tray is damaged. Drawoff going to side stripper ? Can we see P&I D of this section of the column and side stripper or pump around ?? What about photo of damaged tray ? Corrosion or mechanical buckling of tray ?

georgeverghese yes draw off is going to stripper and dont share P&ID because its confidential , but i share the tray photos as soon as possible

Open after 4 years, but was there any maintenance work on this CD column before that ?

Is this column the first column sometimes called topping unit, or this is the next vacuum distillation unit ?

If after four years, only the kerosene plate drain has been damaged, you should be proud of the operation of the atmosfheric column by your operators. These types of plate-damaging incidents occur during unit starts and stops, due to pockets of condensed water and their sudden expansion and consequent explosion of the trays.
