I just received a drawing on my desk with a callout which reads " TS6" x .5" x 1" " and also " TS1 1/2" x 1" x 2" "
What does this "TS" mean? I believe it is a material callout, as these are callouts to 2 seperate pieces welded together for a bracket. I have never seen this before, can anyone help? Thanks.

Sounds like "tool steel", which I think is not the correct call out. Could also be some type of plastic. It should be more specific.

I would contact the body that created the drawing and pose this question to them.
