Hi guys,

Would like to know if there is a tutorial for PDMworks anywhere? The help files are good but we need more direction with examples.

Thanks,

Cadguy13

If you took the training that would be the place to get the SW training Manauls and the training you need.

FEI (For Everyone's Information)- I'm not trying to start a Manaul or SW Training debate.

Hi Scott,

I have been reading your replys for years now and believe that you know what you are talking about.

First, I did take the training course for "SW" back in May 98 and it did not have PDMworks then, are you saying that the SW training course now train you in PDMworks or that you need to take a training course in PDMworks?

Thanks,

Cadguy13

NOw they have a special class especially for PDM works..

I teach this class, its a two day course

The classes that they now have for Solidworks are:

Essentials (parts and assemblies)
Essentials Drawings (detailing)
Advanced Part modeling (advanced shapes)
Advanced assembly (assembly management, and top down)
Sheetmetal
PDMWorks
Photoworks
Productivity tools (FeatureWorks, Utilities, etc)
CosmosWorks

I was just saying VAR's now offer training in PDMwork now and you might want to consider taking the course.

In SW04 there is a PDMworks Online tutorial. If you DL the PR1 you can go through it.

I think that Scott is very much correct in this and obviously has the experience of dealing with all sides of the issue. I had my share of the same dialogues when I was a VAR/trainer/support person foe other similar products years ago. This is complex software, bite the bullet and take the approved training class for EACH piece of software you purchase. It will pay you back great many times the cost of the class in future.
