Typo in AISC design column base plates document ?

Dear colleagues,

I am reviewing a published document about Base Plate Connection design by AISC, the URL of the document is below


I have a question regarding equation 3.3.12 on page 24, I personally think it is a typo:
in that equation, fp(max) is used for case Y < m. Should it be fp instead?
if it is true that fp(max) should be used in that equation, why fp(max) is not used in equations 3.3.15(a) and 3.3.15(b) on page 25?

AISC has an erratta page on its website under publications for the Design Guides. You are talking about Design Guide No 1, 2nd Edition, Design of Base Plates, aren't you.

Your linked copy of DG1-2nd Edition is dated "First Printing May 2006", and it contains the error you identified.

The latest 2nd edition printing is June 2016:
