I have a project in Chicago (with which I am not familiar with), and I need to size underdrains for runoff next to the railroad tracks.
I am trying to locate what calculations to use but can't find any.

Anybody know?

Thank you,
Giovanna

Check the design criteria and standards for the specific railroad?

If it for a particular railroad, yes, look for the railroad standards.

For the City, use the standard specifications:

BNSF Rail Construction Standards has a fairly extensive section on drainage. Look up either BNSF or Union Pacific Stds, its going to be one or the other of those two companies I would assume.
