Hi guys,

I am electrical engineer and am currently entering information of a building from AutoCAD into Revit MEP. I have problems when entering mechanical HVAC informations. I need a simple and helpful book (or link or...) that gives me some useful information on HVAC design, symbols and layouts, so that when I run into HVAC system in drawings I know what they are and how to deal with them in the model (I don't need to design anything as they are already designed and drawn, I just need to understand them and imagine them real space). Is there such a book out there? I really appreciate your feedback.

SMACNA has a publication about duct construction, and it includes a chart with symbols and what they represent.

Also there is a book "Practical Drafting for the HVAC trades" of Prentice Hall that is very good.

The rest to know is obtained with working experience in the field.
