Hi Gang ...

I've got a problem and I'm hoping that you might be able to help me.

I have "Open referenced documents with read-only access" checked-off for my personal preferences. Now when I open an Assembly or Drawing and then open an associative file, I only have READ ACCESS. So if I want to change that part, I need to RE-LOAD that file. Simple enough, easy to do and self explanatory.

Here's when the trouble starts. When I've made what ever changes I wanted to that file and then try to save and close out of it (and go back to the parent file), SolidWorks crashes and I get the Unhandled Error message.

This happens every time ... it doesn't matter what drawing or assembly file I open first, or what component of that file I open and reload.

Any suggestions on what be happening and why ???

Thanks,

BrianM

Your post in Thread559-86849 regarding lack of Options switches, suggests you may have a corrupted install of SW.

If this is only happening on your machine, try doing a repair from the SW CD's.

Check out Scott's suggestions first though.
