Unigraphics 2d expressions 1

I am trying to convert an autocad 2d P&ID to unigraphics. The way i set up the autocad drawing was to configure different layers for different components then turn that layer on or off for the specific job. Is there a way if set up all the layers correctly in NX to control these layers with expressions?

I don't think so.

You can't control layers with expressions. But you can control component suppression with expressions. If you break out the portions that change and bring them into an "assembly", you should be able to control them that way.

If you good at writing KF routines, there could be a way of controlling layers with Expressions.
