user defined symbol overwrite

we need to create a new user defined symbol with the name of an existing symbol.

We created the .sbf file and dropped it in the UGII folder. We still get the old symbol.

Any way to clean out NX cache or whatever is causing this?

Is the symbol with that specific name stored in the drawing or drawing template file?

Try:
File → Utilities → Part Cleanup →

I am not sure what to check in the dialogue box, I would try 'Clean drafting objects' and 'Delete unused objects'.

Then try to insert the symbol again.
