Using a 351 relay for LTC control

Someone here has proposed using a SEL-351 relay to also do LTC control. I'm sure it can be done, although I haven't seen any papers on it yet.

Has anyone done this, and if so what problems did you encounter?

could probably use an output with an overvoltage function and timer to make it go lower
and undervoltage to raise it

if you don't need load compensation and parrallele stuff that could be easy

The proposed application is on a moble transformer, so load compensation, and parelling are not required.

At first glance this looks to easy. So what am I missing?

I've never done it myself, but one of my subcontractors is doing it for me.

It should be easy. Just make sure the timers are set up to keep from accidentally chattering the outputs.

Also, make sure you don't have latches or SER points that chatter. Each time they toggle, the position is written to the non-volatile memory. The EEPROM has a finite number of writes (about half a million), and you don't want to max it out.
