Can you use LSL lumber in the US? All of trussjoists literature have canadian symbols at the bottom and it seems like it's only for Canadians? Is this true?

The local building official can accept alternate means of compliance when demonstrated that meets or exceeds the design intent. You have to discuss this on a case by case basis with each jurisdiction, or, get it certified via ICC's Evaluation Services

Yes, Trusjoist LSL lumber is available in the US. I specify it on occasion.
 
Here in Colorado (Denver) we specify LSL, LVL and all the various I-joists (typ TJI 210) for every single family builder. For TJI (I-level), BCI and others.
