I am modeling a rapid depressurisation (blowdown valve plus orifice plate) of a pressure vessel operating at about 10 C 180 Atm containing a mixture of C1-C7 plus N2 and about 15 % Co2,
I had been cautioned to evaluate freezing temperature (Co2), eventually I have modeled the process with Prode Properties, according the model (multiphase adiabatic flash, SRK equation) the discharging stream has vapor plus about 13% solid phase.
I have read a paper discussing solutions based on multiple orifice plates which could reduce the problem, could you suggest a vendor for those devices?

I may be wrong but assuming an "adiabatic" (i.e. without work or heat exchanged) process I fear that also in the case of the vapor expansion through a series of several orifice plates the (final) discharging temperature will not be very different,
perhpas you may consider different alternatives.

perhaps you may find some information at GPA

we have full bore ESD valves for HP separators depressurization,
no problems till now...
