Hi all,
I'm designing a high pressure vessel to EN13445 code which requires both support brackets and lifting lugs. I've completed my design based on internal pressure, external pressure, nozzle reinforcement etc to determine the thickness. On designing for the support brackets and lifting lugs, the software is refering me to section 16.10.3a(conditions of applicability: 0.001<=en/Deq<=0.05) of the code.
where en is the shell thickness and Deq is the internal diameter of the shell.
I can't reduce the thickness of the vessel as it will be overstressed under its internal pressure.
Pls any advice or suggestion will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
