Hi,
Im currently involved in a product development. The product is comprised of several vibration nodes. Each node shall be controlled with respect to frequency and intensity.

The requirements are:
---------------------------
Frequency range: 5-400 Hz (might be modified to ~100-250 Hz)
Intensity: Controllable
Size/design: a flat design in preferred, height shall not exceed 15 mm.

Does anyone know a good supplier/retailer of a ready to use module for this purpose?

Kind regards,

'Controllable' conveys nothing about intensity other than you wish to vary it. State your requirement in engineering units as a range from minimum to maximum and maybe someone can help.

I'm sorry if my explanation arises confusion. However am I not interested in a specific change, the product's use is only going to be used to detect a change in intensity. So if it doesn't matter if it's controllable in the range of 0-15 W or 0-15 nW. But, I dont want it to be a fixed intensity, and off and a marked intensity is not good enough either. I want a continuous range. Sorry if this was even more confusing, or if my flawed English makes it not understandable.

Kind regards,

Please understand that we cannot possibly hint in any direction from those specifications. Are the 0-15 nanowatts realistic? That is down in thermal noise, more or less.

I doubt if you can find anything prêt à porter. A coil and a piece of Neodym magnet is what comes to mind. There are specialised coil winders that make such things at an amazingly low cost.

Gunnar Englund,
We are still in an early phase of the product development so there is no specification. I did left the range open and totally unspecified to get answers like the one you gave about a coil and Neodym. Thanks a lot. Just bomb me with suggestions, all solutions are welcome.

Let me redefine my requirement: Not a fix intensity.
