anyone knows any book where I can find an example of how to design a Concrete truss, I know that you analize it like a truss but with rigid connections but I dont know how to detail the reinforcement and how to design the column because it has a part that reduce his cross area that is where the truss rest, anyway, anyone knows a reference that I can read, thank you very very much

Is this a real Vierendeel truss or with diagonals? If it is a true vierendeel, the joints are the same as those of a building framework.

Timing has a lot to do with the outcome of a rain dance.

There were beautiful drawings of the Vierendeel beams for the Cine Capitol in the Gran Vía of Madrid in an issue of the seventies' magazine Nueva Forma addressing such building. A design I think to remember of the thirties with plain rebar etc.

By the way such magazine quite good for a good review of many XX century buildings of Spain and some from elsewhere (Sidney Opera House for example); not as comprehensive as a whole phaidon editorship, but very worth.

Another nice building with concrete veirendeel is the Salk Institute in San Diego.

Not sure what you mean about the column having a reduced cross section. The design should be identical to a moment frame in concrete, just lots of P-M interaction checks and proper detailing through the joints.

Could you design the column based on the smaller area and consider the additional thickness to be a corbel.
