Afternoon all,
I have used std. ever so slightly in the past to makwe rudimentary piping diagrams with a few valves and vessels sprinkled in.
Here at my new place of employment, I am the newly hired reliability engineer responsible for all equipment, new and old. Unfortunately, the old process stuff is like 50 - 70 yrs old. There are no diagrams, prints, flow charts, nothing. Anything I can pick up "tribal" is just about hearsay. I am in the process of hand sketching most things just for my benefit and to be able to communicate to suppliers and such my needs. My arm is getting tired of sketching.
Can std do what I need it to do or is professional a better way to go? I need templates for P&ID, vessels, valves, equipment shapes, piping, and such. Can someone please point me in the right direction?
Thank you for any help provided and have a good holiday all.
Sid
