Weird middle click behaviour, can't pan or rotate.

Hi everyone, i recently installed Nx on a laptop, everything works fine, but for some reason middle click doesn't want to work, both for pan and rotate. The program sees that i pressed it, and the double orange circle appears on screen. I can get it to work if i start the click on a seemingly random place in the viewport and then drag, but the moment i click outside the window everything resets and i have to find that specific point again. It's really strange, i can try to post a video if i need to.
And because i know everyone will ask, i tried both using a bluetooth mouse and a generic usb one, with standard windows drivers.

I found some other people online with the same issue, but no one seems to have solved it.
Any idea?

Check that the mouse settings are "middle click" for the middle button.
I have seen this behaviour a few times when people have installed gaming mouses plus the accompanying gaming mouse driver.
in one case the only solution we found was un-install that driver, then the default Microsoft mouse driver worked fine.
