This might be a stupid question but I can't get my weld symbols to be right side up. I am trying to call out a bevel weld but when I put it below the line it give me |\ instead of |/ then when I select to put it on the top of the line it gives me the oposite. Help please. I'm in a coverstion to Solidworks from Pro-E so go easy on me

Thanks

What welding standard are you using?

I would have thought the |\ symbol is correct for a bevel weld below the line (assuming the line is at the apex). If it was the other way round would you not have a fillet weld?

My bad, it is a fillet weld, I just got confused on the symbol picker. The bevel weld showed up like I wanted it on the bottom, but it flipped it. This is my first dealings with weld symbols.

Thanks

In SW2006 sp 3.1, I know with Machining Symbols you have to first insert the symbol, then de-select it, re-select the symbol, and then change the orientation. If you try to do any flipping/rotating of the symbol during initial insertion...it does not remember you changes.
