welder qualification 1

Hy all

m normally a guy who works with with ASME codes and M familiar with them...
M currently move to a project were ISO/EN codes applies...

The thing is m busy qualifying welders an i got a scenario were the welder welded
SMAW E7015 F4 according AWS D.1.1 which he needs to be qualified...And aws dont give a range of
F no:s qualified can some 1 help in this regard.

Do you have a copy of AWS D1.1? If so, read it, welder performance testing is addressed.
 
Review AWS D1.1:2010 Table 4.12 Welder Qualification Variables and Table 4.13 Electrode Classification Groups.

According to AWS D1.1, table 4.12, variable 2, a re-qualification of welder is required when the SMAW electrode has F-number higher than the WPQR (welder performance qualification record) electrode F-number. So, in this regard your welder could use SMAW electrode with F-number 1 or 2 or 3 or 4. Please have a look at this link that manipulates a relevant issue:
