What is the recommended method to model tank settlement in Caesar II. I have a new storage tank with new connected piping going to a pump.
My thought is to model the tank shell up to the top of the tank and then model out from the center of the tank to the tank nozzle. Then apply nozzle flexibilities at the nozzle and carry on with the remainder of the pipe modelling. Then at the node at the bottom of the tank, instead of having an anchor at this node use displacements at this node.
I see in thread775-242662 that Cnodes are suggested to be used to model the tank settlement. I am not sure how this would be done and why. Can someone please comment on why Cnodes would be used?
