when import .exp file in V4 missing all text and dimension

I have a . exp file, when importen this file, in catia V4 missing all text and dimension.

Could be missing or have the incorrect PRJ Files.

what is a prj file and how do i find it.

usually in V4, the text and dimensions are replaced with a red circled X, which means there's a problem with the font.

A quick fix is to select all text and dimens with *annd and then change the font and text size to something that you normally use.

Having the same problem reading V4 data into my V5 system - with very little luck understanding the online documentation. I found this MS tech help - it assisted with detailed explanations of what was happening and how to request the appropriate data from my customer. Seems as tho' Gates dabbles a bit in everything. Hopefully thi shelps someone else.
