I know some guys keep in contact with him offline.

I just heard from Oldestguy. Here is his note to me:

John:  Thanks for the note. At age 94 I have decided to no more work and am in a fancy retirement home in Wisconsin. Health still pretty good, but recovering from 2 small back fractures.

Glad to hear. I tried to call him a few times...no answer. Not unusual as he told me long ago he doesn't answer the phone most of the time.
