Where to find beryllium metal sheet?

I'm looking for a small sheet of beryllium metal, approximately 1 mm thickness. Size is not too important, 2x2 cm or larger would be suitable.

Does anybody have ideas where to find this?

I know this is an expensive metal ($1000/kg commodity) but it's also not that dense, so it's not like a sample this size should be hundreds or thousands of dollars. And yes, I'm aware of the risks of beryllium dust.

I have looked on eBay, rarely do they have any beryllium, and nothing like what I need has shown up to date. I have called the one beryllium producer in the US and the minimum quantities they sell are incredulous. None of the customers they sell to seem to have anything on hand that's the right size.

Importing beryllium from China is convoluted due to China's complex regulations on beryllium exporting which stem from its historical use in defense applications.

I would appreciate any suggestions!

Thanks. Ironically, I found EPSI Metals shortly after posting! I'd been googling around a lot with no luck in the past... then suddenly there it was! Right after I posted.

I will check into both. May also address some other needs.

Goodfellow want an extraordinary price for the material.

Commodity price on beryllium runs between $500/kg and $1000/kg.

Goodfellow wants close to $1000/g for their material, depending on size and grade.

I expect to pay more for R&D materials, but a 1000x+ markup is simply insane.

I could buy a whole sheet right from the manufacturer for less than I could buy a tiny sample. In fact, I'd even be well over their minimum order.

ESPI will be getting back to me on pricing. I fear it will not be much better.
