I would be very greatful if somebody would tell me what kind of book I should use to do a wiring diagram for the new compactor I am going to buy for the place I work for?

Most compactors are furnished with a standard control system, to which you need only provide power. Wiring diagrams should be available from the supplier. You will need an engineer to design the power supply circuit.
