A few years ago my firm purchased the BuildingWorx software from Structural Soft. Although, there were plenty of kinks, it was a great program for 3D gravity & lateral analysis for wood framed structures, similar to what Ram Structural System can do for steel structures. However, it appears that this company may either be defunct or on hiatus, because support has become unresponsive, and I can't use the program anymore.

Does anyone know of a similar program for wood structures?

You can use a general finite element analysis program, eg SAP and assign the properties of wood material and section.
Finally, after obtaining the analysis results, you can proceed to the check of the cross sections using a general timber cross section application, for example this one.
A related example for timber cross section check can be found here.

RISA has done a lot of work in recent years geared towards wood buildings. Especially related to wood shear walls:
[ul]
[li]Force Transfer around openings vs segmented vs perforated[/li]
[li]Automated stiffness adjustments related to nailing patterns[/li]
[li]Code check for hold downs[/li]
[li]et cetera[/li]
[/ul]

So, that might be something you want to check out as well.
