Work hours

I'm managing a project with two groups of workers.
The first group is working 37,5h a week.
The second group is working 62,5h a week.

I can't seem to find a way to solve this without using the units-field. (E.g. A standard week = 62,5h. 0,6 units equals 1 man)
That way is not an option for this project, because the unit(men) are in several groups of 8-12 people in MS Project, and would make it very difficult to keep track of how many people I actually need.

Any tips or tricks?

(It's difficult to explane this in english,
so just ask if you don's understand what I mean!)

When you assign resources, each resource can be configured for different working hours.

I know, and I'v tried this.
But when Project is calculating man-hours it still uses 7,5h, even if the workhoures in the calendar is from 07:30 - 19:30 (w/ breaks in between).
Therefore I guess it uses the "hours per day" in Tools -> Alternatives -> Calendar to calculate workhours.
But is this the only place to set this up?
I would believe different lengths in standard worhours is a common situation in larger projects?
 
But why do you care? Your work hours can, and should, be directly entered in the Work field.

The typical procedure should be to define a task with specific number of hours associated with the task and then to assign resources to the task. The resultant is that the duration is adjusted to fit the resources and task hours.
