poeple ...any idea where I can set the cross hatch angle to stay at 45° plus or minus I am not bothered ... I seem to get random angles currently and end up changing virtually all of them to conform to company std... what's is worse when I update views the random angles come back ..... nice..

Try disabling (toggle OFF) 'Assembly Crosshatching' in Customer Defaults.
