Hi all, hope someone can help here. Have scoured the net for this info but to no avail :(

I'm look for cam lifts, durations & opening times for a ZXR400-H. An older thread by MBurgess yielded the lifts & durations (thanks!) but just wondering if anyone (Mburgess ;) ) knows when they open?

Cheers,

D.

Hi,
What are you trying to do?, std timing is 110 inlet & 102 exh.

Thanks guys - actually found it at the start of the manual... what an idiot I am! ;)

MB, just prepping a racebike for next year but intend sticking with standard cams for the time being.

Make up some slotted adjusters out of the std cam wheels. A little bit can be found in the timing. Only prob is the std wheels have to be annealed, machined then re hardend.

MB

Just grind the slots and forget about heat treating them.

Unfortunatly std cam bosses are solid (cam sprocket & boss a single forging). You will need to anneal them to machine them down to cam sprockets, slot & machine up some bosses, then re harden. Not sure if ZX6 use same width hivo chain, might be worth checking.

MB
