    Wildfire 4 crashes after trying to make new part.

    i had the same problem, proe Wf4 crashes when we select the part or assembly and select the template and when the part or assembly environment starts, proe shuts down. Advice plz! No intelli-mouse etc here.

    Hi I have 4GB of RAM in my computer but inventor(2008) only shows approx 1 - 1.5 GB in its memory meter, how can in increase tht capacity, bcoz i was working on a assembly with approx 2000+ occurrences and this cause memory meter to get full. Advice please.

    Import Solidworks part to ANSYS using IGS

    Did u check ur geometry in solidworks for errors. Sometimes 3D modelers create the geometry with some approximations. This can also cause problems. ANSYS install connections to different softwares, is solidworks is in the list?

    if u r patterning a closed sketch. u have to select every closed boundary when selecting profile for e.g. in extrude command. But anyway feature extrude is preferred.

    how to generate Gcode (CNC) using proE widfire 3.0

    Hi first thing i am not a expert in CNC machining, but APT code generation is not very difficult in proe. u can find tutorials on it. for G-codes as i remember correctly, u have to have machine controller information (a file of proe). i hope this will put u in right direction.

    i think directx is the best option if u want to use hardware accelerated graphics.

    Check the graphics settings of Inventor (it is options tab), is it using Direct3D or Opengl to render your model..

    Yes ANSYS interface is the best option, interface works by copying a file in ANSYS directory to the CAD software directory, read the ANSYS help on CAD interface.

    Crack tip mesh

    Mapped mesh only need same number of nodes on the opposite sides, try it with more nodes near the tip. Post a picture of your crack geometry if u can.
