I see this a lot. Try Simplify Curve? (Menu-Insert-Derived Curve-Simplify Curve). You can also reference or project into a sketch and the recreate using constrained geometry as you wish. NX 1847 TC 11.5

Long shot for sure. If you just generate the part family parts you can have a preview of each at least. If the naming conventions is some common prefix with a suffix for example, the Engineer could then scroll through them and view the previews instead of adding component from the part family...

Good thought but the original constrained component does not fail. It is the bodies of the patterned components that fail. The non deformed portion of the body and the deformed portion separate. NX 1847 TC 11.5
