There is also engraving wireframe that I need scaled as well, so it not just the parting line that's an issue here. So what im gathering, in stuck using a static transformation scale at the original part level for shrinkage, and anytime I need to send back data, I have to scale back to original.
I realize I can use scale body on a promoted part, but again, that only takes care of the solid and not the wireframe unfortunately. I need this wireframe for visual, and sometimes actually use it for parting line generation (seal off). Also to further the point of the wireframe, I must follow...
I deal with plastic parts all the time, and a specific shrink needs to be applied to each part, shrinkage. Scale depends on the type of material, cooling, etc. Now, I realize there are more ways to skin a cat than one, usually I will statically transform-scale a part at a body line. The reason...
Exporting 214. What I am gathering is that UG will display the new RGB values proper, but reverts to it's original RGB on export. I don't think my approach is correct.
I've read the threads about RGB matching on here, but not sure this is what i want. If anyone could help it would be...
Im trying to match the RGB values for a customer's color coding for machineing tools. I’ve exported a parasolid from KeyCreator with the proper material color set for multiple sheets labeled, imported into UG and matched the closest color, then manually changed the RGB value of that color to be...
I tryed to duplicate you, with only 40 faces. At first, yeah deselecting and selecting faces was slow, then instant! Then slow to deselect, and fast to select. Seems to be an intermittant problem. I do not have this problem at all in 7.5, i can select/deselect until im blue in the face. Was...
I tested it on another part, it's selecting or deselecting, after the region has been made and under editing it. Seemed it took less time, Boundary faces selected counted 200+ with a delay of selection/deselection of about 9 - 15 seconds.
This isn't an issue when creating, only upon edit and...
Just an FYI, my assemblies are very simular in structure, excluding job number, geometry, so i have created a "blank" assembly with job number 0000. When i start a new job, I will clone this assembly with renameing the 0000 to <new job #>. Saves abit of time, and keeps prt based settings staic.
I'm testing out Nx8, and i have noticed that if you have a linked region already established, edit and rollback to select a missing boundary face, it takes a significant amount of time selecting that one face to the boundary, 20 seconds or more. NX 7.5 highlights a new face immediately.
