    hot tap natural gas piping

I am working on a natural gas distribution project, and I am looking for some detail or procedure for hot tapping at the existing natural gas piping. The existing piping is 3" and 4" steel underground piping, and the new branch is 2" HDPE. Could anyone advise where I can find the detail or hot...

    FM200 with HVAC Smoke Damper

Thanks, Stookeyfpe. It looks the A/C unit with 100% return air does not need to be shut down when the fire or smoke is detected per NFPA2001.

    FM200 with HVAC Smoke Damper

Could anyone advise why the smoke dampers are required at HVAC supply and return duct for the electrical room protected by FM200 system? Which code should I refer to for this requirement? I am wondering if FM200 control panel can shut down the air-handling unit instead of smoke damper in case...

    Natural Gas Pipe Sizing Software

BigInch, It will be steady state networks since the main purpose of the calculation is to size the piping and make sure there is sufficient pressure available for end users. We might have similar work in the future. Any advise? Thank you very much.

    Looped Natural Gas Piping Calculation

I am working on a project to design an underground looped natural gas system with all branches networked together. I am looking for the software for pressure drop calculation and pipe sizing. Has anyone used or heard of any software for this use, or any other advise for the calculations? Thank...

P-trap at air-handling unit drain connection

Thanks, quark. Another engineer just told me that as long as no negative pressure at the coil connection, no need for the P-trap. I am really confused, so blow through AC unit does not need P-trap???...By the way, in the project, the condensate drain will discharge into the underground drain...

P-trap at air-handling unit drain connection

I had always thought that P-trap at the air-handling unit condensate drain connection is needed all the time, no matter if the cooling coil is blow-through or draw-through configuration. However, in the project I am working on, I select a wall-mounted BARD unit with blow through configuration. I...

RO Membrane Building - HVAC requirement

I am working on the HVAC design for a new RO membrane building. Could anyone advise what's the typical indoor design criteria for the building? Does it require any strict temperature or humidity control? Or only some ventilation and anti-freezing heating(in north)? Thank you very much.
